Java Argopuro comes from the slopes around the volcano at Mount Argopuro on the north eastern shore of the island. This part of the island had been known for commodity coffee lots but newer innovative farmers have dramatically improved the farming in this area.
The leader of the co-op is Pak Muhlisin. He has been largely responsible for the renaissance in these wonderful micro-lot coffees. This coffee is anaerobically fermented. This process involves fermenting the coffee seeds in the absence of oxygen, fundamentally enhancing the taste profile of the coffee.
This Java is literally bursting with flavor and is a one of a kind coffee. Made as an espresso, it is out of this world!
