Wander Reserve’s Cauca Pink Bourbon is a showcase of Colombia’s terroir-driven precision, produced by Alexander Cajiao Buitrón on his high-altitude farm in Cauca, where the Pink Bourbon varietal thrives under dappled equatorial sunlight and mineral-rich volcanic soils. Grown between 1,800 and 2,000 meters above sea level, these cherries undergo a meticulous natural process that enhances intrinsic sugars while preserving the varietal’s delicate aromatic profile. Our light roast profile is calibrated to highlight layered complexity without muting the origin’s clarity, making this coffee an exceptional expression of place and process.
In the cup, Cauca Pink Bourbon opens with a silky mouthfeel and a fruit-forward bouquet—notes of ripe mango, guava, and lychee burst upfront, supported by sparkling malic acidity and a hint of bergamot tea. As the brew cools, the profile evolves: Froot Loop florals recede into a gentle undercurrent of cocoa nib and toasted almond, with a clean, drying finish that lingers like fine milk chocolate. Ideal for pour-over or cupping, this lot demands precise extraction to unlock its full sensory spectrum, rewarding the drinker with a structured, aromatic, and balanced experience.
